Problems With Registering your ResNet Connection?

Many ResNet students have reported having issues with the ResNet registration due to having “cookies disabled.”

To resolve this issue, please try the following:

1) Reset your browser settings:

If you have Safari, go to Safari on the menu bar and select Reset Safari…. After that, confirm that you want to reset Safari.

If you have Firefox on a Mac or Window computer, go to Tools>Clear Private Data…. Make sure that all boxes are checked.

If you have Internet Explorer, go to Tools> Internet Options and under the Advanced Tab, click the button Reset… to reset Internet Explorer settings.

2) Try a different internet browser

If you are using Safari or Internet Explorer and have not tried using Firefox, you may download Firefox by going to

3) Disable your internet security suite software or antivirus software. Or uninstall the software temporarily.

ResNet Winter Registration

The ResNet registration logs have just been updated. If you recently lost your connection to the Internet, try registering. You will need to register from your on-campus residence, and you will need to register your wired and wireless connections individually. When you are registering on the wireless network, make sure you are connecting to a ResNet wireless access point, and not someone’s private wireless access point. Only registrations made after December 15th are now valid. If you are having problems registering, please contact us.

New Phone Support Hours for Winter Quarter

The ACS Help Desk and ResNet phone support hours have changed for Winter Quarter. Phone support will be open during the following times:

  • Monday-Thursday, 8am to 7pm
  • Friday, 8am to 5pm
  • Sunday, 4pm to 7pm
